Behaviour flow chart

..it happens - flowchart

Today we talked about the fact that behaviour is learnt - and, as a result, must be taught.

We are questioning what the purpose of a consequence is. Is it to punish? Is it to make 'wrongs' right? Is it to change behaviour?

Have a think about scenarios that happen and whether this flow chart will help us resolve them.

Road blocks (things that make us stop and think) could be:

  • Why does it take more take?
  • Is it worth the extra time it takes?
  • Can we change behaviours without developing empathy?
What tool can we use to test this model?

Matariki Studies

Lately in our class and throughout our team we've had a focus on Matariki. If you didn't already know Matariki is a star consultation and it is a Maori tradition to celebrate this. For more information on Matariki - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matariki

Throughout Team 3 we've been working in groups or by our self and the criteria is to make some kind of presentation to represent Matariki that might be through a play re telling the myth or a dance a movie, one group even have made a finger puppet show!

My group made a music video for 'Starry Eyed - By Ellie Goulding', focusing more on the actual star consultation. This is how it turned out: VIDEO

I've personally learnt more about Matariki during these few weeks. In class we are now doing Myth writing for Matariki, we are inventing a different scenario how the stars came to being in the sky.
